Meet the oil that does it all. Virgin Organic Coconut Oil is delicious and works wonders in medium-heat cooking (up to 350°F). It takes over for butter or margarine to add a light coconut flavor and aroma to cookies, brownies, even stir fries. But that’s not all it has in store. It’s got Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) to boost your energy. No wonder we’re nuts over coconut oil.

Just wanted you to know that this coconut oil is one of the best I’ve ever tried. I don’t believe in accidents. While shopping at Sam”s Club where We live I happened to come across the aisle where all the oils were and decided to check out what all those huge jars of white were. Lo and behold, they were your coconut oil! I was wondering at that time if there were BIGGER jars available since we were purchasing the regular size jars at our health food store where we live and they were not lasting very long. What I loved about this oil as well as the flavor(not too strong) was the size and the price! At the rate we were using the oil it was not practical getting a small jar. We also use it on our skin as a moisturizer, eye makeup remover, oil pulling, Hair conditioner as well as preparation of foods for now, till we discover “other” ways of using the oils. So, as you can see, a small jar just won’t do. What I was saddened at Sam’s Club was that they no longer carry it. In my opinion that is a mistake causSSmhere were people buying them off the shelf once word was out “BetterBodyfoods at Sam’s”. Well I was just talking to someone and they told me to go to your web site in case I can’t find it anywhere else. Thank you for making and carrying great products so beneficial to us! A Grateful User❤

I am just trying the coconut oil for the first time and I wondered how do you use it as a hair conditioner? Thanks

    • :

Melt coconut oil by placing a jar in warm water. Coconut oil liquefies at temperatures exceeding 76 degrees.
Massage the oil into hair and scalp.
Tuck hair into a shower cap.
Leave coconut oil in your hair for any length of time between 30 minutes to leaving it in overnight.
      Shampoo hair and wash out.
If additional conditioning is needed, add about a tsp of coconut oil to your hair after washing.

    Hi
    Virgin or extravirgin oil?
    Refined or unrefined?
    Thanks

    • :

This listing is for unrefined Virgin Organic Coconut oil. While other oils such as olive oil have a distinct difference between virgin and extra virgin, the terms virgin and extra-virgin are used interchangeably for cold pressed coconut oil from fresh coconuts.

I have some of this and it is almost gone. I want to get some more. Where can I buy some?

      Hey Nancy,

Usually, we have Virgin Organic Coconut Oil in stock here on our website—though it is currently out of stock. You can also find it in many grocery stores near you, such as Walmart and Kroger.

I am currently breastfeeding my 8 month old daughter and she made my nipple raw from staying on one side for hours whIle we slept. It got to the point where it even hurt for her to latch. I voiced my problem to a family member who suggested getting coconut oil and using it as a nipple cream. Sunday I went to my local Kroger and came across your virgin organic coconut oil for just 10.00 and decided to give it a try. From that night on I’ve been applying it through the day. Here we are, 4 days later, and the tenderness is gone!! I will never buy another pointless nipple cream again. I even have used this for my sons diaper rash & bug bites and had fantastic results. I will definitely be purchasing again.

Once I’ve opened the jar of Organic Coconut, extra Virgin Oil (betterbody foods) how long can I keep it at room temperature or should it be refrigerated?

    • (verified owner):

Hey Mimi—No need to refrigerate Virgin Organic Coconut Oil. The oil will stay good whether it is kept at room temperature or refrigerated. If it turns to liquid, then place it in the refrigerator for a few hours to harden. But either way, it will stay good.
